Franco Scavino during one of his usual trips to Shanghai to discover new things in the world of music. Its added value is, in fact, the ability to find unobtainable tools from any corner of the world.
Our story
My name is Massimo Scavino and I am proud to tell you the story of my father, Franco Scavino, a man whose passion for music and tireless dedication have left an indelible mark on our family and the musical community in Turin.
Franco started his career at the age of 14, working in the prestigious musical instrument shop "Cipriani". Here he honed his skills and developed a deep love for music and musical instruments. When the store closed, Franco took the opportunity to realize his dream. In 1970, he decided to open a small shop for musical instruments and publishing in via Ormea in Turin. It was a brave and visionary venture, but with his determination and skill he succeeded in turning his dream into a prosperous reality.

The store soon became a reference point for musicians and fans, thanks to the quality of products and the attention that Franco dedicated to each customer. His advice to "always listen to every customer need" has become the cornerstone of our business approach and has guided us through years of growth and transformation.

Since the mid-1980s, we have been offering a mail order service, long before e-commerce spread in our country and across Europe. Our intention was simply to make the service more convenient for those living outside of Turin. Today, Thanks to the explosion of internet shopping, we have made people happy all over Italy! Service means a lot to us and is more important than anything else.

Today, as I reflect on the past, I am excited to see how Franco’s passion for music continues to live on in succeeding generations. My children, Simone and Stefano, have come very close to the family business. Simone works full-time in the shop, contributing her enthusiasm and modern entrepreneurial vision. Stefano, although he gives priority to studies given his young age, almost daily devotes his time to the store, bringing freshness and new ideas.

It is incredibly gratifying to see my father’s legacy continue to thrive through the commitment of his grandchildren. We are still a family business, proud of our roots and determined to offer the best possible service to our customers.
